I think there are a wide range of classes and backgrounds that individuals with sexually transmitted diseases come from. A person does not have to be poor to have an STD or does not have to be from a low social status either. They may be from the upper, middle, or lower class. I do not believe that it is related to immorality because they did not know that they were having a STD transmitted to them. If they did than it is wrong on their part and a risky behavior but STD's may be congenital or from intravenous drug use or the usual way is from sex. Some people that are not normally promiscuous may have gotten the STD from one or two times , who knows. Typically prostitution and drug use has been associated with STDs because of the individuals themselves who have it. STDs may fall upon to anyone who is not cautious and not protected.
